Here it is. The new STWOK News version 2. So far I like it. Looking into more plugins for Buddypress.
I really like how the Museo font from TypeKit looks on this design. Do I need a good graphic for the header? Or just leave it?

This is simple. Stillwater, Oklahoma has no news organization that gets it. What I mean by that is, we need a local news resource that tries its best to openly share what is going on in the Stillwater community offline and online. One that is open to reader feedback and participation via modern social tools. All stories, posts, opinion pieces, should have the ability for reader responses.

I personally believe we have a lot of inspiring talent (young and old) in Stillwater. People who get it, people who want to improve this place on whatever level they can. Old media here in Stillwater doesn’t get it. They are too tied to their old streams of revenue. Instead of reinventing themselves in this web era they are trying to prop up the business model they are used to. They have had their chance to change and embrace this new world but they haven’t and it’s embarrassing. Embarrassing for a town with 20,000 Oklahoma University Students that love Stillwater and support it. Read the rest of this entry →
